Traffic diversion announced in Tiruchi in view of IJK conference at Siruganur

Tiruchi District Rural Police have announced traffic diversion in view of “Desam Kappom Thamizhai Valarpom” conference of the Indhiya Jananayaka Katchi (IJK) at Siruganur on Saturday.

According to a press release, heavy vehicles from Chennai have to take Perambalur bypass, Thuraiyur, Musiri, and Kulithalai to reach Karur and continue via Manapparai and Vaiyampatti to reach Dindigul. Similarly, heavy vehicles from Chennai to Madurai have to follow the same route till Manapparai and take the Puthanatham and, Thuvarankurichi route. On the other side, heavy vehicles from Madurai should reach Manapparai via Viralimalai and heavy vehicles from Dindigul and Karur shall follow the same return route till Perambalur.

Heavy vehicles between Chennai and Ramanathapuram should go via Kunnam, Ariyalur, Keezhpalur, Pullambadi, Kollidam Y Road, Palpannai, Tiruverumbur, Thuvakkudi ring road, Kumbakudi junction and Keeranur and vice versa in return.

Similarly, the heavy vehicles from Karur should take Kulithalai, Musiri, Thuraiyur, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Keezhpalur, Thirumanur, and Thiruvaiyaru route to reach Thanjavur and vice versa, while heavy vehicles from Salem will follow the same route after Michaelnayakkanpatti and Thottiyam.

Heavy vehicles from Thanjavur have to take the Thuvakkudi ring road after crossing the toll plaza to reach Tiruchi-Madurai road and proceed towards Viralimalai, Thuvarankurichi route to reach Madurai and Manapparai, Vaiyampatti route to reach Dindigul and vice versa.

Light vehicles from Chennai to Madurai and Dindigul routes will be diverted via Padalur, Thachankurichi, Poovalur, and Kollidam Y road. On the other side, vehicles towards Chennai will go through Kollidam Y road, Nochiyam, Manachanallur, Thuraiyur, and Perambalur.

These traffic diversions will be enforced on Thursday from 6 a.m., said police sources.
