Tamil University signs MoU

The Tamil Cultural Centre at Tamil University has entered into agreements with five institutes for offering certificate courses on music (vocal and instrumental) and bharathanatyam.

Inquiries reveal that the State government issued an order on September 24, 2018 sanctioning formation of the centre for protection and propagation of Tamil music and dance through offerof courses on music and dance both inland and overseas.

Various certificate courses are offered through the centre and for this purpose, separate memorandum of understanding have been signed this month with Ananthara School of Music and Dance, Dubai, Nadana Isai and Dance Institute, Kozhikode and Ernakulam, Kerala, Bharatha Kala Mandir, Coimbatore, and Velammal Bodhi Campus, Thanjavur, according to a university release.
