Special police teams from Tiruchi rescued two boys, including one from Sri Lanka, who were reported missing, and handed them over to their parents after producing them before courts.

One of them from Kandhalur near Navalpattu, who went missing in 2009, was traced to Velankanni in Nagapattinam district on Monday, and brought back.

The boy was 13 years old, when he left home, unable to bear the torment of his father and had been working in a cycle shop at Velankanni and later in a mobile shop in the same town, police sources said. The team went to Velankanni after some boys from the locality spotted him and informed his father who in turn alerted the police. The Sri Lankan boy aged 13 years, who was studying in a private school at Namakkal, went missing in April.
