A three-day special camp to include the names of farmers, whose names have been omitted in the list of beneficiaries eligible to receive ₹6000 per year under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Yojana, is to be held in the district from February 25 to 27.

Disclosing this in a press release, the Collector, A.Annadurai has said that the list of beneficiaries under this scheme prepared by the officials contains the names of 68,190 small and marginal farmers having less than 2 hectare of agricultural land.

The beneficiaries’ list would be displayed for public scrutiny at the office of Village Administrative Officers, Taluk Offices, Office of the Revenue Divisional Officers and at the Collectorate.

Those whose names were not included in the said list could submit a petition containing details about the land holding along with their Aadhaar number, bank account number with IFSC code, Family Card number and mobile number, at the VAO office or at the Taluk offices, RDO offices or at the Collectorate.

Nagapattinam Collector S. Suresh Kumar, in a press release, said that farmers who have not yet applied to receive the financial assistance under the scheme can submit their applications during the special camps to be held at the offices of the Village Administrative Officers in the district.

Farmers whose names have been omitted or those who are out of station and unable to file the applications can do so now by providing the relevant details, he said.
