Cine actor Rajinikanth will be an utter flop if he dabbles in politics, according to Naam Tamizhar Katchi leader Seeman.
In a brief chat with a section of the media here on Monday, Mr. Seeman said none invited him to enter the political arena and he would become like any other normal politician, if he took the political plunge, he added.
Mr. Seeman, replying to a question on the political void left behind by the late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and the former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, said that we did not need alternatives or substitutes for those leaders.
“What we need was leaders who could fill the shoes of Congress leaders K. Kamaraj and Kakkan. People were not expecting artistes from the tinsel world. They were looking forward to supporting leaders in the mould of Communist leader Jeevanandam and Civil Rights leader Singaravelar,” he said.
