Agitations demanding the arrest of two persons who had allegedly released WhatsApp videos belittling women of a particular caste recently, resulting in untoward incidents at Ponnamaravathi in Pudukkottai district, continued in Thanjavur district on Sunday.
The demonstrations were held at Thirukkanurpatti, Pillayarpatti and Mannargudi intersection on the Thanjavur-Pattukottai Road near Thanjavur and at Thiruchitrambalam near Pattukottai.
The demonstrators dispersed after Revenue and police officials convinced them of definite legal action.
