‘Parents role vital in imparting values'

Parents have a great role in imparting values to children, as part of their responsibility in building a stronger society, said P.V.Vaidialingam, Divisional Railway Manager, Tiruchi.

Speaking at a function to mark the convocation for children who underwent a programme on ‘education in human values' conducted by Sri Sathya Sai Seva organisation at the Southern Railway Women's Welfare Organisation Matriculation School at Kallukuzhi in the city on Saturday, Mr.Vaidialingam said that children should be guided properly with ethics and values. He hoped that efforts by the school would go a long way in producing responsible citizens. Vanitha Vaidialingam, president, Southern Railway Women's Welfare Organisation, Ashok Sundaresan, district president of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation; Ramadevi, state educational coordinator for the programme, and Vijayalakshmi, district educational coordinator, spoke.
