Language martyrs remembered

: Members of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and the Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam took out silent procession in the city as a mark of homage to the language martyrs who had laid their lives against the imposition of Hindi.

Cadre of the DMK, led by K. N. Nehru, took out the procession from Salai Road as a mark of respect to the martyrs.

The AIADMK cadre led by T.P. Poonachi, Minister for Khadi and Rural Industries, took out a procession and paid their respect to the language martyrs.

R. Manoharan, Chief Whip, and P. Kumar, Member of Parliament, participated.
