General Observer reviews poll-related works in Pudukottai

The General Observer for Sivaganga Parliamentary constituency, Harpreet Singh, on Thursday reviewed poll-related work in two Assembly segments of Tirumayam and Alangudi falling under the constituency.

Voter awareness activities carried out by the district administration, security-related measures put in place, logistics and other aspects were reviewed by Mr. Harpreet Singh at a meeting held at the District Collectorate.

He briefed election officials of the two assembly segments about their functions, as specified by Election Commission, on polling day.

He also reviewed basic facilities created in polling booths, besides explaining to poll officials work to be taken up from start of polling to safe transportation of the machines to the counting centre.

Collector P. Uma Maheswari and revenue and police officials participated in the meeting, an official release said.
