A manhole, which has developed into a deep crater on the main road near Kavitha hotel at Central bus stand, is posing danger to the road users.

The shopkeepers around have partly covered the crater with an iron grill. The deep hole may soon become a death trap if urgent steps are not taken to set right damage, they said.

Five days ago

Though the damage, which happened about five days ago, was brought to the notice of Corporation officials, it had not been attended to so far, they said. Pointing to the busy road, which is used by hundreds of vehicles including buses, cars, and bikes on a daily basis, they said that it was high time to do the needy works to prevent accidents.
