A coordination meeting on Thursday by officials of police and judicial department witnessed deliberations aimed at assisting each other in reducing pendency of cases. The meeting jointly chaired by Chief Judicial Magistrate Tamilselvi and Commissioner of Police Shailesh Kumar Yadav had the participation of six judicial magistrates and police officials from the level of inspectors.

Modalities to quicken remand procedures, and eliminating scope for rejection of charge sheets figured in the discussions.
