Collector T. Anand on Friday reviewed arrangements for Aazhi Ther festival of Thyagarajaswamy Temple to be held here on April 1.

Vinayagar Ther would be pulled out of the deck at 5 a.m and the main Aazhi Ther , in which Thyagarajaswamy would be mounted and pulled along four Ratha Veedhis, at 7.15 a.m.

As a large number of devotees were expected to take part in the annual festival, the PWD, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Board, Fire and Rescue Services, Municipal, Health and Police departments were directed to coordinate with each other to ensure that the festival went off smoothly, the Collector said.
