Changes in train services

The Southern Railway has announced partial cancellation of some trains and diversion of few others due to yard modification work at Madurai Junction.

Trains partially cancelled

The Tambaram – Nagercoil express (Train No. 16191) will be partially cancelled between Dindigul and Nagercoil on October 21. The Nagercoil – Tambaram Antyodaya express (Train No. 16192) will be partially cancelled between Nagercoil and Dindigul on October 21 and 22.

The Chennai Egmore – Madurai Tejas Express (Train No. 22671) will be partially cancelled between Tiruchi and Madurai on October 21 and 22. Similarly, the Madurai – Chennai Egmore Tejas Express (Train No. 22672) will be partially cancelled between Madurai and Tiruchi on October 21 and 22.

The Villupuram – Madurai passenger (Train No. 56805) will be partially cancelled between Tiruchi and Madurai on October 21. The Madurai – Villupuram passenger (Train No. 56806) will be partially cancelled between Madurai and Tiruchi on October 21 and 22.

The Mayiladuthurai – Tirunelveli passenger (Train No. 56821) will be partially cancelled between Tiruchi and Dindigul on October 21 and 22.

The Tirunelveli – Mayiladuthurai passenger (Train No. 56822) will be partially cancelled between Dindigul and Tiruchi on October 21 and 22.

Trains diverted

The Tiruchi – Thiruvananthapuram express (Train No. 22627) will be diverted to run via Karaikudi, Manamudurai and Virudhunagar on October 21 and 22.

The Guruvayur – Chennai Egmore express (Train No. 16128) leaving Guruvayur on October 21 will be diverted to run via Virudhunagar, Manamadurai, Karaikudi and Tiruchi. The Nagercoil – Kacheguda express leaving Nagercoil on October 22 will be diverted to run via Virudhunagar, Manamadurai, Karaikudi and Tiruchi, a Southern Railway press release said.
