Book expo ends with a flourish

Books on hundreds of titles brought out by different publishing houses were on display at the three-day book exhibition organised by library department of Srimad Andavan Arts and Science College, Thiruvanaikovil .

Books on commerce, business management, physics, biotechnology, zoology, maths, computer science, proved to be an added attraction to students. Apart from subject-oriented works, books on literature, history, politics, poetry, essays, health and lifestyle, grammar, general knowledge, cookery, yoga, meditation, first aid, physical education were head-turners at the expo that concluded in Tiruchi recently.

Besides the students of the host college, students of schools situated in nearby areas too visited the fair. Special discount was given for all the purchases made by the students on all the three days.

N. Kasthurirangan, secretary of the college, declared the exhibition open. He underlined the importance of cultivating the habit of reading books to build overall personality. J. Radhika, principal, preside over the inaugural function. Chandrasekar, headmaster of the Srirangam Boys Higher Secondary School, Ganapathi Anantham, headmaster of Srirangam Girls Higher Secondary School, Pichaimani, college vice principal, Lakshmi, college librarian, offered felicitations.
