Tailors plea for power subsidy

Tailors have urged the state government to supply power at subsidised rate, taking into consideration their indigent circumstances. The Tailors' Association of Aravakurichi chaired by president R. Subburaj met here on Wednesday. Secretary K. Balasubramani and others were present.

A resolution passed at the meeting called for subsidised power while another wanted the benefits extended under the welfare boards expedited. It was also decided to hike the sewing and tailoring charges in view of the rising prices of essentials.
