Scholarship for 27 NCC students

A total number of 27 NCC cadets from different units falling under the Tiruchi NCC Group have been chosen for scholarship granted by the Cadet Welfare Society for 2009-10.

Among the 27 cadets, 18 cadets are from the 4 TN Girls Battalion NCC, Tiruchi; five cadets are attached to 14 TN NCC Battalion, Dindigul; three cadets from the 3 TN Air Sqn (Tech) NCC, Tiruchi and one from the 2 TN Armoured Squadron, NCC, Tiruchi.

Rs. 6,000

Each cadet would get Rs. 6,000 as scholarship for excellence in NCC activities as well as in academics.

The scholarship is given to Senior Division, Junior Division, Senior Wing and Junior Wing NCC cadets.

At afunction held here recently, Lieutenant Colonel S.K. Singh, the Officiating Officer Commanding 2 TN Armoured Squadron NCC, Tiruchi, presented the scholarship to Junior Division cadet S. Jayaprakash of 2 TN Armoured Squadron NCC, Tiruchi.

Tenth standard student

A tenth standard student of E.R. Higher Secondary School, Tiruchi, cadet Jayaprakash represented the NCC Group Tiruchi in various competitions such as the Republic Day Camp and the Thal Sainik Camp, a release here said.
