Job fair held for wards of policemen

:A job fair exclusively for the wards of police personnel of the central zone was held here on Friday.

The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Tiruchi Range, A. Amalraj, inaugurated the camp at the Armed Reserve ground in the presence of the Superintendent of Police, Tiruchi Rural A. Kaliyamurthy and senior police officers.

A total number of 410 applicants attended the camp during which representatives from various companies in Tiruverambur, Coimbatore, Erode and Perundurai interviewed the candidates.

Placement orders were immediately given to 84 applicants, while 135 candidates were asked to appear in person to the respective companies.

The DIG and SP honoured the recruiters by presenting them with shawls.

Speaking at the inaugural, Mr.Amalraj appealed to the candidates to take full advantage of the opportunity provided.

The field was wide open and lot of opportunities were available.

Amirthakasi of Baby Engineering Works, Thuvakudi, and Nandakumar of Poppys, Tirupur, elaborated on the job opportunities available in various sectors and urged youths to equip themselves so as to be employable.

Candidates who landed jobs in the previous job fairs for wards of police personnel were doing well in their profession.

More than half-a-dozen companies from Tirupur and Erode districts participated in the fair to recruit candidates.
