Students of Vivekananda School receive free notebooks at a function organised recently by the Forum for Women in Public Sector at BHEL, Tiruchi.

The Forum for Women in Public Sector (WIPS) in the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Tiruchi, distributed note books to 50 children of Vivekananda School at Kamarajapuram in BHEL Township at a recent function. Addressing students , Pankajam Nainar, former District Sessions Judge, advised the children to study well and move up in the world like former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. P. Gunasundari, Head of Paediatrics, BHEL Hospital, hailed the WIPS for promoting education in rural areas. Kali Rathinam, Headmistress, described the institution's role in promoting education among the economically backward section for the past two decades. V. A. Mangai, teacher, E Shanthi, school secretary and S. Siyamala, WIPS coordinator, also offered felicitations. A cultural show by students marked the event.
