A section of members of the All India Station Masters Association (AISMA), Tiruchi Division staged a demonstration here on Tuesday in support of their demands.

The demonstration that lasted two hours near the Divisional Railway Manager's office was led by AISMA Action Committee chairman P. Sundaram. The Association's south zone general secretary S. Nallusamy spoke in support of the demands.

The Association has urged the railway authorities to fill up the vacancies of Station Masters in Tiruchi Railway Division besides sanctioning additional Station Master posts as per Railway Board order. It also urged the authorities to release the revised periodical transfer order without any favouritism.
