Twenty-two persons were injured in the jallikattu organised at Vadamalappur village in Pudukottai district on Thursday. As many as 737 bulls were released during the course of the event which lasted seven hours. A total number of 250 tamers participated. Twelve among the injured were referred to the Pudukottai Government Medical College Hospital while 10 of the injured were treated by a medical team at the venue, said the police sources.
