Vehicle theft: man held

The Fort police on Friday arrested a 28-year-old man who is wanted for several offences in the city recently.

According to Pramod Kumar, Assistant Commissioner (Control Room), Rajesh a.k.a. Rambo Rajesh, who hails from Shangumughom, was apprehended by the City Shadow Police wing. The accused, along with an accomplice, had allegedly stolen a scooter that was parked in Kuttikad lane, Manacaud.

The police have recovered the stolen vehicle.

Nearly 30 tablets of a prescription drug were found to be in possession of the accused at the time of arrest. Upon interrogation, it came to light that he used to buy the drugs using fake prescriptions from government hospitals.
