Two held for piracy

The Anti-Piracy Cell has arrested two persons, one in Punalur and the other in Anchal, and registered five cases, including against three shops in Beemapally of Thiruvananthapuram, for sale of pirated CDs of the recent Malayalam movie ‘Premam’.

According to an official release, Shan, who ran a mobile shop at Edamon of Punalur, and Udayakumar, who ran a shop at Anchal town, were arrested with cases registered against them for sale of pirated CDs of Malayalam movies including ‘Premam’, and also of pornography clips. A computer and hard disk were seized from them. In Beemapally, cases were registered against Rio DVD Collections, Fox CDs and Rainbow for sale of pirated CDs.
