Violence in Chirayinkeezhu

The Chirayinkeezhu police on Friday arrested three more people in connection with the incidents of violence between two gangs at Azhoor and nearby places in recent days. The arrested have been identified Ajeesh (24); Shibu, alias Kochukuttan (33); and a 17-year-old youth.

On Wednesday, the police had arrested a gang of seven, including history-sheeter Rajesh, alias Ottakam Rajesh, from their hideout near Thonnakkal. The three who were arrested on Friday belongs to the rival gang.

Both the gangs have been involved in cases of violence in the Azhoor and Chirayinkeezhu areas, in which houses and vehicles were damaged.

Residences were attacked in Anathalavattom too. In nearby Muttapalam, country bombs were hurled at a few places as a part of the gang wars.
