State and Dubai Police to probe cybercrime

The Dubai Police will work closely with the Kerala Police in the areas of cybersecurity and cybercrime.

A five-member delegation of the Dubai Police, led by Brigadier Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, visited the Kerala Police Cyberdome and held talks with its nodal officer,Additional Director General of Police Manoj Abraham on Saturday.

Agreement inked

During the visit, the officials inked an agreement to share details of those involved in cybercrimes committed through social networking platforms.

The discussions were also aimed at understanding the multifarious activities of the Cyberdome and establishing a similar facility in Dubai.

The delegation also sought the cooperation of the Cyberdome in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and cybercrime software.

The delegation also visited the Kerala Police headquarters and held discussions with senior officials including State Police Chief Loknath Behera and ADGP (Headquarters) A. Aananthakrishnan regarding the responsibilities of various wings of the Kerala Police. They also made enquiries regarding scientific crime investigation techniques, traffic management system, Student Police Cadets project, Robotic system, and the law and order system in the State.
