Sainik School alumnus wins laurels at NDA

Akash K.R., an alumnus of Sainik School, Kazhakuttam, has passed out from the National Defence Academy (NDA) winning several coveted prizes.

He won the Commandant’s Gold Medal for the Best Air Force Cadet, the Chief of Staff Trophy for the cadet contributing maximum towards joint-man-ship, Commandant’s Silver Medal for first in overall order of merit in academics, Commandant’s Silver Medal and Chief of Army Staff Trophy for the cadet standing first in the science stream and Chief of Naval Staff Trophy for standing first overall in academics. He also bagged the coveted President’s Bronze Medal for standing third in overall order of merit.

Mr. Akash, hailing from Mukkola in the city, had passed out from Sainik School in March 2014.
