Public urged to complain against graft

Out of the 22 complaints received in the previous meeting, action was taken on 21, authorities said.

The public should make use of opportunities to register complaints about corruption, Sub-Collector S. Karthikeyan has said. He was speaking at the district-level vigilance committee meeting on Saturday. He asked vigilance officers of all departments to participate from the next meeting, said a press release.

Vigilance authorities said that out of the 22 complaints received in the previous meeting, action was taken on 21. The new complaints received in the meeting were handed over to the respective officials.

The next meeting of the committee would be on September 4 and the public could complain against any office or official at the meeting.
