The Theeradesa Netruvedi, a group which campaigns for the development of coastal neighbourhoods in the district, has demanded that the State government order an investigation into the alleged misuse of funds allocated by the Centre for development of tsunami-prone and hit areas.
In a press release issued here on Wednesday, Netruvedi convener Veli Varghese alleged that the previous government had illegally diverted and misappropriated the funds.
