NAAC peer team to visit university

A 10-member peer team from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) will begin a four-day inspection of the Kerala University on January 14.

This is preparatory to the NAAC reaccrediting the university, which was first accredited in 2003.

The varsity has been without accreditation since 2008.

During its visit, the team would assess and evaluate teaching and co-curricular activities; research work; and extension and infrastructure facilities of the university, a press release issued here on Tuesday said. The team would be headed by M.M. Salunke, Vice Chancellor, Yashwanth Rao Chavan Open University, Maharashtra, the release added.
