M-OncoEd app to be released today

Information on cancer risk factors, symptoms, and screening approaches

M-OncoEd, an android app-based training program, offering e-learning opportunities to primary care physicians in the health sector about cancer risk factors, symptoms, and screening approaches, is being released on Thursday, a pressnote issued here today informed.

The Director of Health Services, R. L. Saritha, will formally release the app. The former chief of cancer screening, WHO-International Agency for the Research of Cancer, R. Sankaranarayanan, who has curated the training module, will be the chief guest at the function.

Snehita Women’s Health Foundation has collaborated with RTI International to create the M-OncoEd app, which is being supported by the Directorate of Health Services and RCC Thiruvananthapuram.
