The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will offer Kochi Metro Special Feeder Service focusing on Edappally and Aluva.
As many as 40 low-floor air-conditioned and non air-conditioned JNNURM buses of the KURTC will be run from the two stations from 5 a.m. to 10.30 p.m., said KSRTC Chairman and Managing Director M.G. Rajamanickam.
The Aluva-Angamaly, Aluva-Perumbavoor, Aluva-North Paravur, and Edappally-Fort Kochi-Mattanchery via Container Road routes have been chosen for operating feeder services in the first phase.
The KSRTC will post an officer at all the metro stations for one month to offer assistance to metro commuters in using feeder services.
The corporation has also decided to extend services that end at the depots of the transport utility to the nearest metro station.
Moreover, two special officers and a coordinator have been posted to ensure the smooth operation of the feeder services.
The transport utility has also come up with a WhatsApp group ‘KSRTC-KOCHI METO FEEDER SERVICE’.
The employees in charge of the services and officers coordinating them will be included in the group.
