November 13, 2014 01:12 pm | Updated 01:12 pm IST - Thiruvananthapuram:

Electricity consumers in select section offices across the State can now dial 1912 to register complaints about power failure, line damage, billing anomalies and power theft and to seek online payment details.

The KSEB has introduced a 24-hour centralised call centre service for consumers in more than 100 electrical sections in Kottayam, Thiruvalla, Changanassery, Shoranur, Ottappalam, Kozhikode, and Thiruvananthapuram from Wednesday. The facility is equipped with an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) to register complaints even without employees. A centralised customer service system, including a cash deposit machine has also been introduced at Vydyuthi Bhavan, the KSEB headquarters here.
