Indira Gandhi remembered

Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee paid tribute to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, on her 94th birthday, on Saturday.

KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala offered flower tributes to the portrait of Indira Gandhi at the KPCC office here, which was followed by bhajan recitals.

Secretary of All India Congress Committee Shanimol Usman, Congress leaders Thennala Balakrishna Pillai, Thalekunnil Basheer, president of All India Mahila Congress Anita Verma and Mahila Congress State president Bindu Krishna were present.

Congress leaders also organised commemorative programmes at District Congress Committee offices across the State.

Kerala Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee organised a function in memory of Indira Gandhi at Priyadarshini hall, here. KPCC president inaugurated the function, which was attended by Mahila Congress leaders from all over the State, apart from Mahila Congress national leader Anita Verma and State president Bindu Krishna.
