KIMS Hospital here has launched KIMS Home Care aimed at providing quality post-surgical care at home. The initiative is being undertaken in partnership with the Indian Home Health Care (IHHC), a health-care service provider that is part of the U.S.-based home health-care firm Bayada Home Health Care.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, M.I. Sahadulla, chairman and managing director, KIMS Group, said that the partnership would enhance the quality of home health care in the State.

Lesser medical costs

“The facility will help patients to recover better and faster in the comfort of their own homes. This will also reduce medical costs for patients, roughly by at least 40%,” he said.

The programme had a soft launch here three months ago.

Around 30 patients were currently being assisted under the facility, he said.

KIMS vice-chairman G. Vijayaraghavan pointed out that the home health care programme, which was intended to cater to patients of all age groups, included critical care, geriatric care, palliative care, and new-born care.

The service can be booked at 0471-3041452 or by e-mail on homecare.tvm
