Handwriting contest tomorrow

After successful conduct of the school-level contests, The Hindu-Cello Handwriting Wizard Contest is now moving to the city level. The capital city would host the event at Christ Nagar ICSE school, Kowdiar, on Saturday.

The contest would be held at three levels in two categories: senior and junior. All the school-level contest winners should report for the city-level contest at the venue at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

The contest would begin at 11 a.m.

Pen and paper would be provided to the contestants. Participants should bring their school ID cards.

Chief guest

The chief guest of the day would be Post Master General Sumathi Ravichandran.

Apart from Thiruvananthapuram, the contest is being held in Kochi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Madurai, Trichy, Coimbatore and Salem. The school handwriting wizards would now get to write on the ‘Cello Wall’ at the venue, where they can write about the changes that they want in the country.

“Cello handwriting wizards contest is in line with our fundamental belief in encouraging the joy of writing and ensuring that students are the key enablers. The activation aims at mass participation and recognition of the talent,” says Permendra Singh, director (marketing), Cello.
