Impressed by the stellar performance of the ‘Superkids’ band at the inaugural show of the Nishagandhi Monsoon Ragotsavam on Sunday, Governor P. Sathasivam invited the three members of the band to Kerala Raj Bhavan on Monday and honoured them.
The three-member band comprises Steven Samuel Devassy, Lydian Nadhaswaram and Amritavarshini, who are school students.
Time with Governor
The trio, along with their parents, spent some time with the Governor and his wife Saraswathi Sathasivam.
During the nearly hour-long chat, Amritavarshini played a song on the flute.
Talent appreciated
The Governor appreciated the talent of the children and lauded their performance on Sunday Mr. Sathasivam also presented mementos to the the four children and a ‘ponnada’ as well as a mark of honour of their talent and enterprise.
The Governor and Saraswathi Sathasivam also wished Steven, Lydian and Amritavarshini all the best in their future musical endeavours and academic pursuits as well.
Additional Director, Tourism, Joshi Mrunmai Shashank, and staff were also present during the meeting.
