Corporation team cleans Ranni homes

The city Corporation team led by Mayor V.K.Prasanth carried out clean-up activity at homes in flood-hit areas on Wednesday. The four hundred member team visited houses in various areas in Ranni panchayat. The team of volunteers consisted of the local body’s green army, who have been mentored as part of the various sanitation activities in the city.

Each team consisted of six members. In addition to those who were entrusted with the clean-up activities, the teams had those who were trained in electrical, plumbing and carpentry work. The team also carried generators, jet sprayers, bleaching powder, chlorine tablet, masks, gloves, gum boots, wood cutters, pump sets, shovels and other materials to carry out effective cleaning. A medical team, with medicines and other equipment, is also accompanying the team of volunteers

The cleaning activities will continue in the coming days too.
