The State edition of the two-day National Children’s Science Congress concluded on the Centre for Water Resources Development and Management (CWRDM) campus on Saturday.

S. Pradeepkumar, organising committee chairman and member secretary of the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE), opened the valedictory session.

87 research papers

Of the 87 research papers presented by students at the event, 16 were shortlisted for the oncoming National Children’s Science Congress to be hosted by the National Council for Science and Technology Communication in Bhubaneswar from December 27.

The students selected to represent the State in the national event are: N. Neeraj, S. Devananda, Navaneeth Krishnan, S. Lakshmi, Lakshmi Bharathi, S. Niveditha, E. Aswathi, Jobina Joy, P.P. Fathima, Nirupama Das, Jyothi Lakshmi, S. Ashna, Nazrin Fathima, M.A. Athira, Aina Jasmin and Jeevitha Jyothi Biju.

They were awarded certificates and medals at the valedictory session.
