A ‘Children’s Minifest’ was conducted at Government Model High School, Lower Primary School and Nursery, Thycaud, recently.

The festival was on the lines of the recently concluded Padanotsavam, a social audit to assess learning outcomes.

As part of the event, children put up performances that summed up English classroom activities for all classes from 1 to 4.

Programmes by children

The children performed skit, action songs, games, role play and held conversations, all in English. The activities were connected with the learning outcomes attained by them in the month of June. The ‘Minifest,’ part of the school’s action plan, was aimed at effective English learning for the primary schoolchildren. It helped children use English confidently and made parents aware of classroom activities. The school’s English teachers Sini, Jeena, and Kala organised the event with the support of staff members and parents.
