Chief Secretary to look into KSRTC plea for loan

May 07, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:57 am IST - Thiruvananthapuram:

The Cabinet has asked the Chief Secretary to examine a request from the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) for a loan from the government to clear the pension arrears of retired employees.

Mr. Chandy said a solution to the delayed pension issue was in sight.

Package

“According to the package that has been worked out, the funds for payment of pension will be mobilised by the RTC and the government together. But clearing the accumulated dues remains a thorny issue. An appropriate decision will be taken after the Chief Secretary examines the RTC’s request for loan.”
