Centre should monitor National Games: BJP

January 07, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:42 am IST - Thiruvananthapuram:

BJP State president V. Muraleedharan on Tuesday said that a party delegation would meet the Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports calling for proper Central supervision of the National Games and change of its organisational set-up.

He said that corruption and irregularities were rampant in the organisation of the games.

A coterie was running the show and there was no transparency in it.

Mr. Muraleedharan said the State unit would give a detailed report of these to the Centre as the state of affairs would bring disrepute to the Centre also. — Special Correspondent
