Celebrations at Santhigiri Ashram

The humanitarian values propagated by Karunakara Guru had great relevance at a time when efforts are being made to spread hatred among communities, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said.

Inaugurating the Nava-oli Jyothirdinam celebrations at Santhigiri Ashram here on Wednesday, he said the values propagated and practised by the guru had inspired humanity and they needed to be cherished. He lauded the efforts of the ashram to propagate the ideals of the guru.

Food Safety Minister of Sri Lanka Gamini Perera; Palode Ravi, M.A. Wahid, Varkala Kahar, MLAs; and general secretary of the ashram Swami Chaithania were among those who attended the function. – Staff Reporter
