Filmmakers and technicians have called for urgent efforts to revive the Chitranjali Studio owned by the Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC).
At a workshop on ‘KSFDC and Film Industry: Issues and Remedies,’ organised by the Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC) Employees’ Union to mark its 33{+r}{+d}annual conference here on Friday, filmmakers and experts said state-of-the-art technology should be brought in as part of a rigorous makeover of the premier institution so that it attracts mainstream filmmakers, who were currently indifferent towards it. The seminar also discussed issues such as computerisation of movie ticket sales, screening of quality short films to cinemas, grading of theatres based on their facilities and construction of multiplexes.
