Bike race feud: two arrested

January 14, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:55 am IST - THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:

The Medical College police on Tuesday arrested two juveniles in connection with a brawl on Saturday that left four people, including two autistic children, injured.

Sheen Tharayil, Circle Inspector, Medical College, said the accused were students of a city school. The police were on the hunt for three others.

The brawl had broken out after the two arrested, along with others, were questioned by a group of men at Eenthivila, near the Medical College Hospital, for racing on three bikes in an area where there were children playing. The relatives and neighbours of the children too questioned the racers.

The gang then returned with more of their friends and a clash followed, in which both the children and two others, Jayan and Shaji, were injured.

Both the accused were produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Mr. Tharayil said.
