Following the success of the ‘Kiss of Love’ campaign against moral policing and the spread of similar protests to other parts of the country, the Technopark employees are also contemplating a protest on similar lines.
“With the increasing number of incidents in Kazhakuttam, and with all of the targets being from Technopark, it is about time we came out strongly in protest against this.
There has been some discussions regarding the mode of protest and we are thinking of taking the opinion of the employees before going ahead with it,” says Rajeev Krishnan, member of Prathidhwani, a socio-cultural organisation of the employees.
Recently, the Students Federation of India (SFI) had conducted a protest against moral policing in front of the Secretariat, one of the first such protests in the city.
“Moral policing in the Technopark neighbourhood has come to our attention. The response of the State and the police has been disappointing. We will support any protest organised by the employees against this,” says R.S. Balamurali, central committee member of the SFI.
