The writings of O.N.V. Kurup will be passed on from generation to generation as long as this society survives, Deputy Speaker V. Sasi has said.

He was speaking after inaugurating an ONV memorial event organised by the SN College Souhri Vedi on Sunday, to mark the first death anniversary of the poet.

Reciting a poem written by O.N.V. after the suicide of engineering student Rajani S. Anand, who had to discontinue her studies owing to her inability to pay her college fees, Mr. Sasi said that the events after that and even at present played out as foretold in the poem.

The poet’s family, including his son Rajeev O.N.V. and granddaughter Aparna Rajeev recited poems written by him.
