THIRUVANANTHAPURAM

The Emigration personnel has started taking declaration from international flyers that they are not carrying the banned ₹500 and ₹1000 currency notes.

The flyers are asked to sign below the seal on the rear side of the emigration form that they are not carrying the banned currencies. A top official of the AAI in Thiruvananthapuram said it is being enforced in all airports in the country and the emigration wing has been asked to execute the directive.

The AAI has also put up boards before the emigration enclosure warning the flyers that it is an offence to carry the banned currencies in the flight.
