The Ullal Police arrested State General Secretary of Youth Congress Suhail Kandak and 18 others over clash among two groups of Youth Congress activists on September 22.
A group led by Kandak got into a fight with another group of Youth Congress members led by Salman in Ullal. Kandak fired six rounds from his pistol. Activist Irshad was hit by a bullet on his leg and admitted to a hospital. Kandak and his alleged associate Basheer, reportedly injured in the assault, were admitted to another private hospital.
The Ullal police registered separate cases for firing and assault and arrested 13 persons. Kandak and Basheer, were arrested following their release from the hospital on Thursday. Four more people were arrested on Friday.
