Miscreants stole necklace and earrings

An 80-year-old woman was found murdered in her house at Subramanya Nagar here. The police have identified the deceased as Ratnavati G. Shetty.

According to the police, Ratnavati used to stay alone in her hourse. Some unidentified persons entered her house, between 3 p.m. on July 2 and 8.30 p.m. on July 5, and murdered her in her bedroom.

They took the gold necklace and earrings she was wearing and ransacked her house before leaving. A case had been registered at the Udupi Town Police Station and investigation is on, the police said.
