Operation of several trains to and from Mangaluru will be affected till January 24 (except Tuesdays) to facilitate ballast cleaning work in Angamali-Kalamasseri section of Thiruvananthapuram division of Southern Railway.
A release from Palakkad division of SR here said train no. 16348, Mangaluru Central-Thiruvananthapuram Express, will be regulated for one hour and 40 minutes either at Karykutty or at Chalakkudi stations on January 10-14, January 17-21, and January 24. Train no. 19260 Bhavnagar-Kochuveli Weekly Express will be regulated at Aluva or Angamali by 2 hours 40 minutes on Mondays; train no. 16335 Gandhidham-Nagercoil Weekly Express will be regulated at Aluva or Angamali by 2 hours 40 minutes on Saturdays; train no. 16337 Okha-Ernakulam Biweekly express will be regulated at Aluva or Angamali by 2 hours 40 minutes on Sundays; train no. 22634 Nizamuddin-Thiruvananthapuram Superfast Weekly Express will be regulated for 2 hours and 50 minutes on Sundays at Karukutty or Angamali.
To facilitate the destressing work in track between Thalassery and Mahe section, train no. 56324 Mangaluru Central-Coimbatore Fast Passenger will be regulated by 1 hour and 20 minutes from January 10 to January 31 (except Sundays and Wednesdays).
