Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru, on Saturday launched the Swachh Manas-2019 and Magic for Cleanliness Campaign aimed at creating cleanliness awareness mainly among students.

Mission secretary and mutt president Swami Jithakamanandaji and MRPL Chief General Manager B.H.V. Prasad inaugurated the programmes on the mutt premises, while the former MLC Ganesh Karnik launched the Magic for Cleanliness Campaign.

Magician Kudroli Ganesh, who has been giving magic shows on cleanliness as a part of the mission’s campaign, gave the first of the 100 shows planned, after the inauguration.

More than 700 students from different schools and colleges attended the programme.

Swami Jithakamanandaji administered the oath of cleanliness to the participants on the occasion in the presence of Deputy Director of Public Instructions Y. Shivaramaiah, who gave away the Swachh Senani badges and oath cards. Swachh Manas Chief Coordinator Ranjan Bellarpady and others were present.
